Innovation Ecosystems
Researchers at the Duke ISP Lab study how innovation ecosystems—the connected network of universities, startups, incumbent firms, investors, and government—shape the rate, direction, and diversity of technological progress. Our work traces how these ecosystems evolve over time; examines the institutions, relationships, and incentives that govern modern ecosystems; and develops new measurement tools to gauge the potential for accelerating their growth.
